Chiropractic
Chiropractic has become
the second largest primary health care field in the world, because of its effectiveness in treating back
problems, headaches, and other injuries and traumas. Through adjustments of the spine and joints,
chiropractors can influence the body's nervous system and natural
defense mechanisms in order to lessen pain and improve general
health.
Chiropractic stands up for the idea of a
universal approach to health and illness, recognizing the body's inherent
ability to cure itself during times of physical injury or mental and
environmental stress.
Each year more than 15 million people turn to
chiropractic physicians for a natural, drug-free approach to the
treatment of pain, backaches, trauma, injuries, and certain internal
disorders of the body. Chiropractic was officially introduced in 1895,
and since that it has gained worldwide acceptance, despite years of
controversy within the medical community.
